Zhao Peng, Ph.D., professor of Preventive Veterinary Medicine, Shandong Agricultural University. He is a executive director of Veterinary Public Health Branch, Poultry Health Branch and Animal Biological Products branch of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine（CAAV）, and a member of National Committee of Experts on Animal Epidemic Prevention of China, etc. He has leaded or participated in many projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program of China, etc. His current research mainly focuses on the pathogenesis and eradication of vertically transmitted viral diseases in poultry. He has published 95 peer reviewed papers in leading scientific journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal, Frontiers in Immunology, Emerging Microbes&Infections, Veterinary Research, SCIENCE CHINA Life Sciences as the first or corresponding author, including 56 SCI papers. He presided over the formulation of the National Standard, “procedures for eradication and detection of avian leukemia in chicken pedigree breeder flocks”. He won the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Shandong province, 2021.
