Professor Hongning Wang, a doctoral supervisor,is Dean of the College of Life Sciences in Sichuan University, Director of Animal Disease Prevention and Food Safety Key Laboratory of Sichuan Province. Dr. Wang has engaged in fundamental and applied research on animal disease prevention and control as well as animal product safety. In the last decade, many national projects have received approval from 863, 973, the National Key Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Wang has made outstanding achievements in the theory and application of sources and precise prevention and control of animal bacterial diseases, as well as the genetic engineering of oral vaccines of animal viruses. Over 245 articles, including 146 SCI, has been published. Due to the outstanding achievements,she has received 2 the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Awardsand,6the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Awards of Sichuan Province, Science and Technology Innovation Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, the national talents and young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions, the national outstanding science and technology worker, and other honors.
