Xiaoling Zhao, professor and doctoral supervisor, is currently the vice president of College of Animal Science and Technology of Sichuan Agricultural University, the academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province, the member of Sichuan Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources Committee, and the executive director of the Poultry Branch of China Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society, the visiting scholar of Department of Animal Sciences, Virginia Tech, USA from May 2011 to June 2012. From 2008, she has published more than 120 papers, authorized more than 50 patents, and cultured one new national poultry breed. She has presided more than 20 scientific projects, e.g. the General and Youth project of NSFC, the key breeding projects of Sichuan Province in the 12th Five-Year-Plan, the scientific and technological achievements transformation projects of Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the application foundation projects of Sichuan Provincial Department of education, municipal-school cooperation projects and school-enterprise cooperation projects. She has been awarded the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress, the second prize of Sichuan Science and Technology Progress (three times), and the special and the first prize of Sichuan Teaching Achievement.
