Jie Wen received doctorate in Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1991.His research field involvesin poultry genetics and breeding and poultry nutrition.During the period of 1994-1996, he spent two years in the University College Cork, Republic of Ireland, as a post-doctoral research fellow.Currently, Jie Wen works asprofessor and deputy director general in Institute of Animal Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is chief scientist of China Meat-type Chicken Research System,member of Poultry Subcommittee of National Commission for Genetic Resources of Livestock and Poultry,vice President of Poultry Branch of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, and editor-in chief of Chinese Journal of Animal and Veterinary sciences.JieWen won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award two times. So far, he has published more than 100 research papers in international peer-reviewed journals.
